Ok went to www.savko.com and looked for some bulkheads. What is the difference between S*T and T*T? That is the only part of the ordering I dont understand.

hi.
S is for slip. You need to glue a smooth pipe to a slip, or you can slip a strainer on it (no glue).

T is for thread. You need to have a threaded pipe to screw onto the bulkhead. Threaded pipe does not go on a slip bulkhead, and vice versa.

You don't need a pipe that is actually threaded (good luck finding this in standard PVC!!), you just need a fitting to connect the pipe to the bulkhead. The fitting will have male threads on one end and be a female slip on the other end.
Just posting so you don't knock yourself out looking for threaded pipe you can use.
