I am having trouble finding this item? Where can we get this? I don't think that we can order just one of these from a online source? I know that the dia. is 1/2" but how LONG does this thing have to be? Are we looking for an inch length, two inches, or what?

Any help will be appreciated.

You want a 1/2" x close nipple. Versus a 1/2" x 1", or a 1/2" x 2", etc.

Have you checked Home Depot or Lowes, in the Schedule 80 PVC section?

I found this at our new Lowe's store. They called it a Sch 80 Nipple 1/2" x 1 1/8 (close). It was in an individual see through plastic package. My old standby of Home Depot didn't have it.

Some people call these pieces "all-thread". There is a bright green version of the same thing used for lawn sprinkler systems to connet the sprinkler head to the pvc underground.
