Hi Brian:

Can you provide a link or tell us where we can order the router bit? I would need the part #, size, etc....

Also, can we use "Denatured Alcohol" in place of Ethyl Alcohol/Ethanol?

Can't wait to start building this reactor!!

Thanks,

Steve

I purchased the "Denatured Alcohol" in place of Ethyl Alcohol. I was told that "Denatured Alcohol" was also known as Denatured Ethyl Alcohol and that Denatured simply meant that something else had been added to prevent people from drinking it (without getting really sick). In my case less than 4% Methanol was added.

Hopefully this will work.

Yep, that alcohol is fine.

As for the router bit, there are a couple of places. I order mine from Hartlauer Router Bits, but Woodcraft also sells them. I've got a Woodcraft store here in my city, so you may want to check yours. You can also mail order from them. Here's the link to the exact bit:

You want a 1/4" diameter, upcut spiral flush trim bit. The reason we're using such a small bit is to fit into the keyhole slots we'll be cutting.
