anyone know how to build a circuit that will power a motor for like 2 or 3 minutes every 24 hours? i want a valve to open for just a short time once a day. I have the mechanics worked out to both open and the close the valve but the timing circuitry etc i need help with... anyone?

Home Depot sells a digital timer that allows you to program it to the minute. It is made by Intermatic. They make two models, a plug in and a hard wire unit.
