I just bought a 125 gal with custom stand and canopy on a garage sale! Guy was giving away everything, so I took all the goodies . He used an acrylic wet/dry filter as sump with no skimmer and an external pump. I want to do a FOWLR, but I wanna get rid of the wet/dry and move on to a DSB/Refugium.

I would like to transform that wet/dry filter to the DSB, but the problem is that I don't know if that will be enough for my 125gal. Also, what will be the necessary adjustments needed for it to work properly? I got something in mind, but dunno if it'll work properly. Please advise!

This is the current wet/dry filter

This is what I got in mind (advise strongly appreciated)

Also, I'm redoing the PVC plumbing because originally it was a against the wall tank setup, but I want it as a room divider so three sides must be fully visible! Yeah, I know... I got a lot of work to do. Slowly chipping away!! But I need to get the DSB design correct before I start cutting and drilling holes! I will definetely add a skimmer, in sump, so that must be taken in consideration. I don't know if it's better to get a bigger box, or of it can be done with that one. So please, any suggestions are welcome!
