Surface Skimmer HELP!!!!

i need to know how to do a surface skimmer!!!!
can some one help me????

Most people have a sump setup, so their overflows take care of the surface skimming. Some people use hang-on skimmers that have surface skimming boxes as accessories (example: AquaC Remora or CPR Bakpak). Otherwise, most people just point a powerhead to the surface of the water to break up any slime that can build up.
