A cheap Kalkreactor alternative?

I was wanting to drip my kalkwasser into my aquarium rather than pouring it in as this spikes the ph. However, i'm not willing to fork out 300$ or however much theses insanley expensive systems are, so i was wondering of a way to set up a 50$ and under drip system.

I use a 1 gallon milk jug. I drilled a hole about 2 inches from the bottom and inserted and glued a two inch length of small tubing. At the end of the small tubing is a small valve that I adjust for the correct drips per second.
I just set the milk jug inside the stand ontop of the sump and let it drip away. Some people do they same with lets say a 5 gallon bucket.
