Tube size for skimmer

Fergy, i gonna build a skimmer for a 125 and another for a 300+. What size tubes should i get for each one? Would a 28" tall work ok in a 29" stand. Does increasing the length of either of the above help increase the performance (tank size rating) of the skimmer?

Should i double the shipping cost to get two kits shipped together?

Sorry Fergy, i asked these questions before I got your email.

I guess all I really need to know is how much space do you need to allow for removing the collections cup and how much shipping cost for 2 packages?
