I'm looking at teeing off my return line, just after water leaves the return pump headed up to the tank. I'll use a 1"X1/2" tee, and was thinking of just using the same set-up as we do on the reactor; 1/2"X1/4" reducer, then JG fitting. Here's my question: Should I use a regular 1/2" ball valve to regulate flow, or is there a cool JG type regulating valve. I found the JG shut-off valves at e-pipe connection. But I didn't see a gate or ball valve smaller than the 1/2". I seem to remember something in the chat log about this; I'll check. But, I'd appreciate any thoughts.

Thanks, Matt

I use 1/4" valves. They are available from McMaster Carr, and have a John Guest fitting on the end. They call them Speedfit fittings.
