hey everyone...

i have a 55g and want to see about cutting the glass on the back of the tank. i know the bottom glass is tempered and cant be drilled out... but what about the back? basically my goal is to have an over flow draining to a refugium/sump...

your thoughts?

Hi and

:P

The first thing I'd do is call the manufacturer and see exactly which panes of glass are tempered. Sometimes only the bottom is tempered and you'd be able to drill the back instead.

I actually just contacted Perfecto Mfg. about my 75gal with the same exact question on Monday I think, I just heard back from them today. My 75 is tempered on the bottom but not the sides, so I'm getting it drilled...somehow  Anyways, a lil tip... if you have a Perfecto tank, contact them via phone or else you won't hear back from them for 2 days
