I got mine (same regulator) down to a pretty steady 12-15BPM, this left me with an approximate ph of 7.0. (Sorry Brian, I wimped and got a $5 Hagen wide range ph test. I'll get the probe someday soon.)

That needle valve is real touchy, though. A nudge can really change the flow. The lock-nut helps.

Damn through-put stalled again today. This was the first time it stalled since I installed the JG type needle valve to control the reactor feed. I have not installed anything on the effluent side for fine control. Should I add the cheapy air valve, or go ahead and order the reactor widget from Inland that we discussed the other day? Or both?

Is your return pump pushing any air bubbles?

I've discovered that I need to keep the feed a little more open, and slightly restrict the output. Try the cheapo air valve before anything else.
