Where to find the cheapest plumbing part??

Well, I am in the process of planning an even larger tank than the one I already have. I don't want to say too much yet because I don't want to jinx it, but already got the marital approval for the 600g (120"x48"x24").

As I write down my list of needs, I realized the one thing I ahve never searched for the best prices is plumbing parts like single union valves, bulkheads, and such. One can spend a small fortune in those and since I am trying to be cost effective, could you tell me where have you found them the cheapest so far??

Have you checked the regular places like Home Depot and Lowe's?

Bulkheads, strainers, and single union valves are not sold at HD. At least no the ones by me.

Your probably right, not those EXACT items, but if you go look in their plumbing section you might find what the same thing you would find at a pet store a lot cheaper! Even if it isnt the same color.

Also consider http://www.aquaticeco.com.

They have those fitting and more. They are cheaper than local pricing plus they give quantity discounts. I recommend getting their master catalog since it will give you a baseline to judge what is available and what is a good price.
