Help with new VHO endcaps!!

I just got my aro ballsts that I had posted about a week ago from hellolights.com. I got 2 sets of endcaps. Do you need a special plug for these or are they the style where you push the wire in and it hold it. These are the endcaps http://www.hellolights.com/noname1.html

What exactly does it mean by "Raw" ballast? Besides the endcaps and bulbs, what else is needed to complete the system? Does the ballast need to be in some kind of protective casing? Thanks- I know nothing about VHO ballasts or making my own lighting system, but would love to add a 2x110VHO actinic system to suppliment my 2x250w 10,000k metal halide setup.

All you need is to add on the wire to the leads it provides to reach your endcaps. The only other thing you need is a 3 prong plug that goes in the wall.

I just got them installed and running!!! They were easy to wire and there is a diagram on top of the ballast. They look awsome aand start up with no problem. I am trying to see how hot the ballast gets but so far it is running very cool.

Nice, thanks for the update- looks like next paycheck I'll be spending a little more money on my tank. As if I would do something else with it....
