Do these things come apart and or stack like legos? In other words can you take a 6 inch tube and pull it apart into 2 pieces or take 2 tubes and snap them together?

Yes, but it is petty hard to pull apart... they have special piler for that.

I just installed some 1/2" stuff in my tank. The pliers make pulling apart and putting together alot easier. The 3/4" is big enough to get a grip on so it might not be as hard; just bend it until to pops apart.


1/2" assembly plier is ~$10.00 from http://www.modularhose.com.
