kalk dosing

if i use a gallon milk jug can i run the air tube from the top of the jug or does the jug need to be closed so no air gets inside?

To run it from the top you would need a seal or it would all syphon at once. In the past I poked a hole in the bottom side of the jug and used airline tubing with an air regulator valve to gravity drip the kalk. Some air must get in or this one will not work.
