This is my first post ..
I am going to be building a canopie for my 120 this weekend.
For the last 2 yrs i have done only FOWLR BUT now i want to make it a reef tank>>> I HAVE WIFES BLESSING LOL..
i am going to use my ice cap 660 with 4 110 watt 48" vho"s and 2 55 watt pc's for a total of 550 watts.

So the ? is does any one have some reference ideas that i could use.

Ozreef has a great DIY section (not positive that they have canopy plans). Really the best thing to do is go check out how they are built in all the LFS (local fish stores). Once you have an idea of structure, just keep in mind that you want some ventillation and to keep the tubes ~4-6" off of the surface of the tank. Not many people tend to put their canopy/stand plans on the internet. Probably for liability issues.

I'm doing a DIY pendant fixture for my 4-110's. I wanted something really slim and light looking. I don't like the blucky look of the set on canopies most make.

I think the most important thing to a canopy is the esthetic(sp) quality. everything else is second.

What kind of are you thinking of?
