Hi all,

I am in the mood to build something. I thought I would try a skimmer. :D

I hear these beckett jobbers are the way to go when you fab a skimmer on your own. Anyone got any good links with the DIY'er in mind. Or has anyoone built a beckett or multiple beckett skimmer and it was cost effective to do so.

let me know

thanks

If you have the tools, it is pretty much cost effective. Check the MAKO course, and see what they're building.

The biggest expenses are the cast acrylic tubing, and the pump(s)

Google DIY Recirculating skimmer

Good luck, post pics!

Make sure you seal it right the first time. it is a little over six feet tall and six inches in diameter and works very well so far. Becketts are definitely the way to go.
