DIY Canopy

Does anyone know of any very detailed plans I might be able to use.I was thinking about fixing the top with some hinges so I can open it up with all the lights for easy bulb replacement.I also wanted to put 2 doors on the front for regular feedings or whatever reason.

what does the stand look like? do you want the canopy to match?

It's an Oceanic Tank with their stand it came with a hood I have been using but the front of it slopes down instead of the usual box type with doors on the front.I went and looked at some wood and I guess I am gonna use pine.The hood that is on the tank now has 2 MH's in it but they are only about 4" from the water and it has no room for the vho's.

Can you just build an extension to that hood to raise it up?

I thought about it a few times but I think it would take as much work to do that as build a new one.
