Have a 75g for use as a sump on on 145g.

Looking for comments on placing baffles as in pdf (differance is pump comparment is 16" wide not 6"). Skimmer is a ASM G3 and thinking about having baffles 10" high. Tank will drain directly to the skimmer comparment.

Because of the CL outlets are on the bottom of the display thinking BB in the main and having a DSB in the center comparment of the sump. Area would be about 17"x17". Would a 4-6" DSB be worthwhile to do in the small area plus since all the flow (sump return pump ~1500-1800gph) is over area, would it even work?

Have on hand ~100lbs LR for the dislpay. CL is a Dart with a 4way.

ya, guess a little cluttered, those are for dimensions.

Basically pump compartment on left (though) pump is external, 2 baffles, ref (DSB) middle, bubble trap (3 baffles) them skimmer compartment. Overall length is 48" so about evenly divided into thirds.

Personally I think that much flow would make your DSB fly all over the place.

When I had 900 gph going through a 20 Hi I couldn't get sand to stay in the bottom of it.

How about a divider going lengthwise between the skimmer and pump section. On one side have your DSB with only a bit of flow going through it and the other side have just water rushing through.

I am one to talk though, I can't decide what the heck to do with my sump and I have everything I need to start building on it.....

Flow through the sump is something I'm trying to figure out. Had been thinking about dropping in a old 33 into the 75 just to hold the sand but means cutting a brace (on 75) to fit it in. Looking like I'll need to partition side to side as well as fron to back
