working on building a sump for my 125 the tank is all glass 48 inches long going to have 17 inches for the refuge 12 1/2 inches for skimmer ect and 21 inches for the pump area i just dont get the the baffle in it how tall and i see alot with 3 baffle after the skimmer section but how high is the baffles thanks for any help pics will help greatly jeremy

The height of the baffles determines the height of the water in each section. If your skimmer works in 6-8" of water, you'll want the baffles to be in that range. Remember gravity, you can't have a 6 inch section feed a 12 inch section. You want your drain to empty into the same compartment that your skimmer is in. The proteins that your overflow skims from the surface are very buoyant and will float to the surface very quickly in your sump. That is why you want the drain and skimmer in the same section.

I'd also skip the fuge section. It's really counter productive, if you must, use a fuge and not a skimmer or use a skimmer and no fuge.
