DE MH in DIY hood

Will be building a DIY hood for a 150g and planning for now running 2x250 DE MH. Am hoping to keep the hood as slim as I can.

First was considering Reefstar pendants to mount inside https://www.oceanaquatics.com/view_...star14K&searchlink=yes&search=REEFSTAR&page=1 but wondering if either the Reef Optix 3 or a mini pendant from PFO would be better?

I have a pair of 250 watt RO3s and they are nice. If I had to do it over I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

Here's an article where Sanjay tested both the PFO and the Sunlight Supply DE pendents. Not sure if anyone has tested the Reefstars...

Looks like the Reef Optix might be a littler harder to get unless I go through customs.

Since the new 250W PFO pendant seems to compares to the Optix (table 3), wondering what the difference is be between the old and new PFO. Looking at pictures and descriptions some PFO mini-pendants have the peddle (diffuse) reflector, other the polished, any idea which is the new type?
