No seperation plate or more holes. One small hole will increase the water velosity and suck in bubbles. Also include and way to control the water level and the input amount.

So i shouldn't have the plate and i should put a valve on the inlet and the out let? Does the height of the pipes(inlet and outlet) matter? I put the inlet high up so i get maximum water-bubble contact, but how high should the outlet be? What should the diameter of the skimmer be? Bigger or smaller and whats the pros-cons?

Thanks Guys
This is my first skimmer design so im still a bit unsure of myself!

I would think that the plate would help the skimmer retain the bubbles as opposed to dumping them in your tank.

Your outlet pipe isn't really going uphill is it?
