smaller than a soda can, you can tell what the size is if you take a look at the video thats available on the link up top.

I missed the video. Man, it looks pretty awesome and seems to work well! :D

It is a little big but seems to be worth it. ;)

Not too big if you consider you will most likely not need any more ugly powerheads in your tank to help with flow!!

I made some for under $3

Can be made 1" or 3/4"

Part list for 1"
1"pvc 4 way
1"-3/4 threaded reducer (3/4 is female thread)
3/4" threaded nipple

Cut off 2 sides of 4 way so it is a stright pcs with 2 large holes on either side.
Use dremel type tool to remove ridge on bushing, attached nipple
Slide bushing into 1 end of mod 4 way about half way in and glue.
Glue other half to return line. Total size is about 3 " and as thick as 1" pvc. MAJOR flow inmprovement.

I've done this with 3/4" too and works just as well. The 1/2" modle I did was a waste of $2 and 15 minutes

I have no way to messure the actual flow improvement. But is was major. The return is about 3" below the surface and prior to putting this on, the surface had mild disturbance. Now there is a strong ripple across the top. At a guess 3-4x improvement.

Do you have lowes in GA? I heard that the same item numbers worked in NC, maybe they are the same everywhere? You might just want to print it and go down to the hardware and give them the list, they should have all the info they need to find what you need.

We do have Lowes. That sounds perfect, then! :) I'll do that when time comes. ;)
