an update... my friend has really high phosphate levels and low Mg...
I've been running with a P/S for about 1.5 - Months...
no phosphate and low Mg... i have a refuge with cheato and a DSB light 24/7
the low Mg i think is from the salt i've been using...
oh, i have done a water change... before i took some out to do a water change, once i was "done" with my refuge, i put the water in there... i have approx. 300-ish liters (250 l in tank, plus my 24x18x12 refuge....) or 66 US gal and and my refuge... 7 small-ish fish, 2 red legged hermets and around 6 large snail, and 1 small bristle star...
Oh, one more thing. My sand and shells for my refuge came from a beach that wasn't near a boats... (hard to find on a large island...)
