I know I have seen this before, but can't find it on the sites I have in my favs. This bit is for removeing the piece of pipe that you have glued into a fitting. When I saw them I thought it was too expensive for save a fitting, but currently have several valves and bulkheads I would like to save. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Never heard of it. PVC joints are pretty permanent since you are actually fusing the material together when you glue it. I'd be interested in one as well.

The pvcsosa does not seem to work well, but I never used it. Just does not look like a good quality tool... :?

For the PVCSaver, I have used it. The main issue with it is that even if you do a really good job by using a drill press, the hole is usually slightly larger than a new fitting. So you will need to use a lot of PVC glue to get a good fit when it is time to put the pipe into the fitting.

As for the Hog, I have no experience. But it sure look the most professional!

Can't you do the same thing in a pinch with a dremel tool?

Using these are more repeatable than doing it free-hand with dremel. Besides, if you have a couple dozen fitting to dremel, it is a lot of work.
