Ok Im looking for advice here, Im trying to figure out a way to automate feeding artemia into small tanks (roughly 2 gallons)

Because of the small size of the actual tanks I cant allow too much artemia water too enter the tank, so I cant figure out a way in which I could rig it to dripfeed continuosly.

What I had planned was to use one of those diaphraghm dosing pumps which cost about 10 bucks and to put it on a timer, but I cant find a timer which will turn the pump on for a short enough period, roughly 10 seconds a go or so is needed.

If anyone has any advice.... please help

These timers are used in photgraphy for developing films. Some people use a dosing pump, or metering pump. All these alternatives are pretty expensive.

Take a look at ebay and see if you can get some used timer. Good luck.

How about restricting the pump (inline valve, clamp, etc.) so that the typical 1 minute interval available on most digital appliance timers would deliver the correct dose?

Or use a smaller pump with longer interval.. Aqualifer maybe a good choice.

I was assuming we were talking about an Aqualifter or something similar based on the OP...

I never consider the Aqualifer to be a dosing pump, but I guess the description fits the item.
