DIY 24 Aquapod Metal Halide Canopy

My brother and I were finally able to put together this canopy for my 24 gallon Aquapod. It is retro-fitted with a 12K 250W Coralvue Metal Halide set-up and a moonlight strip. So far it has been running for about 3 weeks now. I have no heating issues what-so ever (have central AC and have a server fan attached to each end of the canopy that keep the fixture cool). All my corals (SPS and Soft) are doing great under the light (some have even colored up more).

you dont think 250w is too much ? i have the same tank and getting ready to set it up but un-sure of what lighting i am going to use. nice though

At first I thought it would be too much light but then I said what the heck, I can always switch the 250W for a 150W. I plan on only keeping SPS corals. So far all the corals in there now are doing good.

Thanks! I went to Home Depot and bought some Pine wood for the sides and top; for the front I used a bendable thin sheet of compressed wood.
