Above Tank Algae Filter

I implemented a bio filter to my reef tank at the lowest cost. I used a typical 1 gallon plastic container and drilled holes up top to empty the incoming water from the tank via a small fluval pump. This sits on top of my tank in the halide cabinet. I use a chiller so temp is not a problem. I cut a small hole in the tubing to allow for siphon breakage if the pump stops.
