I'd like to do my plumbing over and need help. 150RR oceanic tank.
Questions: Schedule 80 or 40 bulkheads - best size or correct size for standard holes / slip or threaded and better yet any links directly to lets say (savko) items #'s to order. Thanks in advance guys and gals. My previous set up started leaking and I wasn't too happy about that. I'm currently running sumpless so I need to get on it real soon.

Iseayu,

Most AGA and Oceanic tanks are schedule 40 - to answer your first question - Schedule 80 is best, but your choice is "there is none", so schedule 40.

Slip to thread Schedule 40 is best for your application (IMO) - the thread is in the bottom of the tank and if you have problems after glueing, you can cut the PVC, couple it and re-glue without blowing out the bulkheads and paying an additional $20. The threaded portion, however, you'll need a schedule 40 male adapter to connect the PVC to.

Doing this makes it very easy to make a durso standpipe - all you need is 1" rigid pipe, Tee, 90 (elbow) and cap to complete - you may want to get more than one cap in case you drill the Durso hole too big.

Hope that was helpful - maybe one day I'll make a podcast of this work so everyone can see it visually.
