DIY Canopy question

i'm puting a T5 retrofit into a DIY canopy and don't know where to put the ballasts. should they go inside the canopy? or is that a stupid idea? any help is appreciated.

i would put them on top, or on the rear. I would not put them inside enough heat in there dont need any more from them.

You should put'em on the top...No evaporation on the ballast up there...

maybe inside the stand would be best. but that seems like it would be a pain if i had to take off the canopy for maintenance. dealing with wiring is no fun

I usually mount PC ballasts on the back of the hood.
