What kind if glue should I use for gluing small pieces of acrylic on a glass tank?

Can I use silicone?

I am using 6'(L) x 2' (H) x 2"(W) AGA tank for sump. I will glue 2 pieces of acrylic on each side of the bottom corner for inserting a piece of 23" x 9" x 1/8" removable glass divider. The size of each acrylic is 5" x 1.5" x 3/8". The sides which will be glued to the tank corner is 5" x 3/8" and 1.5" x 3/8" (not 5" x 1.5").

Will it be last as long as glass gluing on glass?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

You should only 'glue' glass to glass or acrylic to acrylic. If you try to mix the 2 the silicone won't hold well or long.
Get you local glass shop tocut the baffles for you and ask them to 'seam' the edges so they aren't sharp. Use silicone & painters tape to do the job neatly.
