A major problem with the Hydor Flo is that after some time, usually 3 - 6 months, they stop turning. This is sometime due to the gears getting worn out or becoming lose.
This is a mod that I found on RC for the Hydor Flo.
In this mod you take a #6 plastic washers, HD sells them, and using a 11/64th drill bit widen the hole in the washer. You can also take a philips screw driver and make the hole large too. Once you make the hole wider you should then file it down, using a piece of sand paper. At that point you can fit the washer over the end of the Hydor Flo. Make sure it's not to tight, the white ends that stick out should be spread, as it normally is, and not pushed together. Open you do this the Hydor Flo should turn and keep on turning. If the washer pops off you need to either make the hole larger or file the washer down, using the sand paper.
