I was planning to cover my new 75g reef-ready glass overflow and have a few?'s.I was planning to buy a peice of black acrylic to cut teeth into and cut the peice to fit agaisnt both sides of the corner overflow. Now i cant seem to find a black peice of acrylic anywhere here in NJ,any ideas?and a buddy of mine told me to cut and paint a peice of normal clear acrylic and paint it with black krylon fusion paint but im worried of the long term results of this painted overflow box being in water for a long time, have any of you guys done this or something simliar with long term results im not talking 3 or 4 months, but 3- 4yrs? please post pics and info if possible.

I've read on another forum where a seasoned reefer uses Krylon paint is his tank with no ill affects, provided you allow the paint at least a week to fully cure. Allow plenty of water flow to pass the acrylic else it backs up in your main or paint a piece of eggcrate fitted in the corner. Eggcrate would be less hassle to cut. For customers I've done an acrylic frame and applied gutter guard over the clear frame.
