question about plumbing

Hey guy's and gal's i have a quick question, i am doing some plumbing for my 55 gallon tank, i have a sen 600 inline pump that i will be using to return the water from the sump to the display tank.
The question is what is the best size of pvc pipe for me to use.

Sorry for not mentioning this but i would like to also make a flow bar to increase flow in all those stagnant areas of the tank

I would step it up to 3/4. Lot of fittings for 3/4...

Why would you want to close the topic?

IMO a flow bar will actually give you less flow in the tank than just using the pump itself. The flow bar will disperse the flow and create a small pathway for the water to flow. Simply put you will get less flow in more places.
