I just finished my DIY beckett skimmer, i posted some pictures in my gallery if anyoen is interested. If anyone is thinking about building one and has any questions ill be happy to answer them.

i cut the caps myself i used a circle cutter from harbour freight if your interested lemme know ill find you the link

Great job. What kind of pump are you planning to use with it? When you have it up and running I would love to see some pics of it in operation. How much did the it cost to built if you don't mind me asking.

im using a Velocity T4 but thats not the ideal pumnp although it still works well. Ive built others before and used with a Mak4 which is much better for the job.

mcmaster.com has cast acrylic and you ge the stuff the next day.

If you want to go cheaper i went to youacrylicsupermarket.com
