i modded my aquapod with an easy to build eggcrate shelf. there are tons of different things you can do for whatever you are trying to accomplish.

I've modded an Aquapod 12G, Biocube 8G, and Biocube 29G.

What are you trying to accomplish? Extra flow? Refugium?

You can drill the pod and make a sump/fuge for it. Many people have. Lots of mods are available at nano reefs. You should check them out.

I pulled the false wall from my BC29. I reccomend glassholes for a nice overflow kit.

I Have A Small Tank The Has A Built In Over Flow If Your Looking To Put A Fuge Above Your Nano, You Could Use A Mj 1200 To Pump Water Up To It And Let It Drain Back Down Into The Nano, Shoot Me A Pm And Will Send A Photo

The false walls are really really tough. It was pretty hard work pulling it out. You would have to empty the tank to do so. But you would have to empty the tank to drill it for an over flow anyways.

Keith is 100% correct either way means taking the tank down to scratch. If you would like to increase your tank volume without doing this you could add a hang on back refugium which would only give you about 2 gallons more in total volume if that. You could also do what Rick said and use a fuge above your tank and have that fuge drain down to it.

People keep telling me this is the "ultimate setup" because your pods can overflow back to the display w/o going through a pump. I always imagined it would be an eye sore...

Yeah I was thinking of building a new stand. This way I can build a sump and fuge for the tank. This tank started out just for my 2 year old son that loves watching the fish in the tank. But like my wife said its turning out more for me. 2 years ago I had to break down my 90 so I could move and I have no room for it so its sitting in storage. Its killing me. LOL I guess I am trying to do all these ideas to a 24g. Yeah I really dont like the idea of the above tank fuge. The only thing about a hang on is that I still am using the hood that came with the tank. So right now I will have to think of some ideas but them together. The wife will be giving me that look.
