Endcap change question

I plan to change my Linear Pin Endcap to Sq Pin since I cannot find a Linear 96W bulb locally. Is there any procedure I should pay attention to?

1: make sure the light is unpluged!
2: make sure you don't get little copper pieces (from the wire) into the tank.
3: always double check your connections before you plug it back in! (mostly because PC ballasts stink when they blow out!)
