Sump Problem

Hello fellow reefers, I just started my new sump setup and I believe my new pump may be too strong for my Eshopp 300gph overflow box. I get it going but my pump empties out the return section and then begins to make microbubbles and that causes the overflow to begin and gargle and eventually my pump is in danger of running dry so I unplug it.

Sump acylic 24l x10w x 17h, Display tank 46ga bowfront
Return line 3/4 vinil tubing about 4ft return lenght /pump 600gph
Intake eshopp 300gph single u-tube overflow box/ 1'' bulk head and intake flex hose. Help!!!

put a ball valve on the output side of the pump and slow it down.

The ball vaive available for vinyl hose? do I need to convert to pvc now?

you can get a threaded ball valve and 2 nylon barbed to threaded connectors.
