Skimmer modification.

I have a berlin red sea skimmer..was looking to try and modify it with these air injecters..not sure how I would do this...or with air stones and a pump to get more bubbles..any ideas?Thanks.

There is not much you can do for that skimmer. You can bore out the volute to allow for more air intake. Or replace it all together with a better injector like a mazei. Lastly, you can you can remove the injector all together and use needlwheel that meet the flow specs your skimmer requires. And if that is not enough, mesh mod the needlewheel (keep in mind this will lower the flow output of the pump)

Adding an air pump will not do anything other make very large bubbles in your skimmer.

I would try boring out the volute and using a more powerful pump first. But due to the design of the skimmer itself, it is really hard to make any major mods. (ie recirc mods)
