I put together a DIY chiller earlier this summer using the first plan from Deanos's post. I would definitely recomend you build one too since it is was an easy project and it was very cheap (everything for $70).

Some tips i learned:
1) Use Teflon tape on all threaded joints (a must)
2) I would recomend using Toro's "Funnypipe" which is designed for sprinkler systems and can be found at home depots (call first). It is cheap, the joints are insanely tight, and it is thin hard plastic so the insulation is minimal making it easier for the fridge to cool the water.
3) I would use a 200gph pump or even power head. The slower flow will put less stress on the joints but more importantly will allow for more cooling and the lower wattage will minimize the extra heat in the tank.

Also you can pick up a cheap fridge on craigslist. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Honestly I would start building it as soon as you can. Who know when a 90 degree week is gona sneak up on us. Besides the sooner its in the sooner your tank will be stable (no temp spikes b/c of the lighting cycle etc...) My tank has been a solid 77 since setting it up.

What if u got something like this and took the door off and put a fan in front of it. It should cool down the cabinet. If u pointed the fan at the water it should cool it down a little. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000JLNBW4/?tag=reefs04-20 I dont know much about chillers, but i saw this thread and thought about a guy i work with that has one of these on his desk.

Cools up to 40 degrees below ambient temperature
Self-locking recessed door handle; removable shelf
Vibrant red exterior with white Coca-Cola trademark
Measures 11 by 8 by 11 inches

Adding my 2 cents, it is much better on life, to A/C the room, then just the tank. As far as the refrigerator chillers, I have not heard success with these things doing their job well or being efficient.

You can buy a used chiller easily by looking at Manhattan Reef or Reef Central.

I've seen your fridge method done before, works well in a vented room, but at the same time the outter layer of the fridge will produce heat to warm the room more. Running an energy efficient air conditioner w/ a thermostate might be more econmical, keeps you cool too when its hot. Becareful with a lot of these small fridge, lots of them are NOT energy efficent.
