MY first try at building a hood.

This was my first time trying to build anything of this nature... I need to build the door and install the cooling fans, but for the most part it's almost complete.

So here it is in my gallery.

No definately my first try. I used paint from HD which has some sort fo texture to it... trying to match it to the stand. It filled in the cracks that the glue didnt get...

On the back I slapped to pieces of scrap 3/4" Plywood, There are some gaps there which I need to clean up.

I used Aluminum flashing all along the top of the hood to help reflect the light downward.

ahhh for $90.00 sure beats $300.00 for a new one....

Ohhh and I bought a table saw, and router for this... but that doesnt count towards the cost of the hood..

The router is still a bit tricky to manioulate... but I will get it.
