anyone build stands local to Long Island. Its a half circle(kinda tricky

Looking for someone to custom build a stand for a 144 oceanic half circle. I was going to order the pre built but it just seems to flimsy to be holding 1600lbs. Anyone know of local cabinet makers of something?

Half circle and bowfronts custom made are way more expensive than ordering a premade one.. You also want an experienced tank builder not just a cabinet maker or a carpenter there is a big difference in these workers..

Very very expensive compared to what your going to get store bought. And Bobs right to a point, you want a smart millworker to build you the stand. Some people just can't grasp 700+ lbs of weight working on the material they use and the way they build it.

I've never used them in the past, but I know that 1000 Island Aquarium on Utica Ave. in Brooklyn makes custom stands.

Still haven't found someone yet??? Wow i thought someone would have jumped at the idea to build a half circle those are my favorite builds.. I love the challenge it's not that difficult though, now 10 sides and 20 angles on the other hand,,lol..

I wouldn't use a 120 stand for a 90 tank with out fabricating additional support.

Yeah, but those factory stands do hold the weight, it's just after you wet them a couple times your playing with fire,,lol.. If you take a good amount of time and pay tons of attention you won't have to worry about the stand getting wet..
