Acrylic Measuring

I am going to order acrylic from Plasticworks in New Rochelle to make a small frag tank. I need to remove my 20g frag tank to make room for a chiller on my shelf. I want to make it 12x12x20 and am not sure how to tell the guy how to measure the acrylic so that it matches up. ANyone out there get this? I plan on using 1/4 acrylic

Tell him the thickness of the acrylic you want like 1/4" then tell him your numbers 12x12x20 are outside dimensions.

years ago I made a tank 96X48X48
1" acrylic full canopy center overflow

I've bult dozens of tanks since than in the 120-240 range

I'll help him out an way I can

my 450 will be 1"

a 120gal 48X24X24 can be done in 1/2 with euro bracing
