Oak stand build

I am building this for smoq here on MR. it's 35in. high 23in. square in red oak for his new solana Tank He got from Russ & Jim at www.saltwatercritters.com I'm really liking the way it is coming out so I'd thought I'd post a few pictures of the build. The door will be a raised panel door, will post more when the stand is complete.

I'm Not, he wanted it unfinished. wait till you see it with the raised panel door on it. it looks awesome! let me tell you, you can put a 120 gallon on this stand and I would be put money on that it would hold..lol it's very solid!

LOL. I'm gonna stain it to match my other stand (link http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/diy/86299-75g-fish-tank-stand-my-first.html) and finish it with satin polyurethane using the wipe-on method. I will post some pictures when I'll start my journal.

The grain on the red oak is sweet.

Use it well.

People, if you didn't know about bueller's woodworking ability, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Best craftsman on MR. Kudos to another great build John.

BTW, I thought it was 3 yrs. 2 months and 1 week until the wood shop?

Thanks for the kind words, Marcin just picked it up and was very happy! He also talked very Highly of you guys at saltwatercritters. He said this was going to be his first reef so i said you guys are the one's to talk to if he had any questions. I also told him about the powerbrites I got from you and he wanted some info on them, so when you get a cahnce shoot him a link to them.

Next Project......40 GALLON SHOW SET UP...

BTW, it is 3 yrs. 2 months and 6 days until the NEW wood shop in TEXAS!!! GIDDY UP

I picked up the stand yesterday and it's great. John is a great person to deal with and his work is worth the money spend. He uses high-quality plywood (I can tell, I know this stuff) and all-wood front. High-quality, I'm telling you. I'll start a journal when and I'm gonna post some pictures of the stand stained and painted soon. Thanks a lot John, I hope we meet again someday.
