Couple days ago I finished my new idea ... artemia reactor .
It is very easy to make and help a lot (for me) .
24" long 3" big acrylic tube , some 1/4" fitting and 1 hour free time ...
After 24 hours I feed first time my fish and corals also I made few pictures .
enjoy..

I have read that people do feed them, let me look for the articles I'm thinking of.

the baby ones may have more nutritional value due to the egg sack they carry.

n00b question...
is the purpose of the artemia reactor just to have a large supply at all times? what would happen if I were to just pour that spoonfull of artemia cysts into my fuge? wouldnt they just hatch and eventually get eaten anyway.. like in nature?

Isn't brine shrimp like 'junk food' for fish? corals?
Just curious...
by the way, nice reactor...

Andre

Not so much junk food as much as it just lacks nutritional value, it's like us eating a head of iceberg lettuce. it's not bad for you but your not going to get much out of it. That's why people feed the brine shrimp things like spirilina and soak them in selecon a vitamin additive.
