I will be also drilling a 46 bow tomorrow and will use your advise ! thx.. Do you have any specific measurements on how far from top and side should be the hole?
ok this is a trick i have been doing for a long time.put the tank on a piece of plywood.dont let the plywood hit the plastic on outside of tank just the glass.take a pvc pipe and cut it 2 in.crazy glue 4 little dabs on 4 parts of the pvs.take a blowdryer anfd dry the glue.takes 2 min to dry.put the bit in the pvc and start drilling.use a spray bottle to wet the bit down directly into the pvc.after you are done drilling take the pvc and turn it.not to hard.if it does not come off with small amount of turning pressure get acetone.(nail polish remover) put small amound where you put the glue and it will come off easier.remember the pvc should fit snug around the size bit you are drilling with.very important MAKE SURE WOOD IS ON GLASS AND NOT ON THE PLASTIC
