Any good design for eggcrate platform?

Silly question but does anyone have any good ideas for an eggcrate platform such as in a frag tank?
Do you do the traditional PVC tubular design and tiewrap the eggcrate to the frame?
Do you use PVC furniture fittings to get the 90 degree and also the opening to go straight up?

I had the same thing. I also did multi-tiered ones too, but don't have a picture of it.
