Diy sump builds?

just bought a 30 gallon long to build a sump with refugium. I need some guidance and links to help me with my project. TIA

specifically im looking to find out how the height of the baffles and the spacing between them, I found threads on DIY sumps but none for 30 gallon long tanks.... all help greatly appreciated.

I would start with a layout on paper with the footprint and recomended operating water level for your skimmer the rest depends on what else your putting into the sump.

deff gona do that, but you guys have any idea the space between the baffling and the height of the baffling i should go with? tank is a 30 gallon long.

What size is the Display Tank? The distance between baffles can change the gph through the sump. I read on another thread that 1" will equal about 200GPH. Height, like others have mentioned, will depend on the water level your skimmer needs.

narrower the baffles the faster the water flow. this will not allow the micro bubbles to dispurse. I made over dozen sumps trying different setups just out of curiosity.
