Ive got a question, building a tank just cant find the one I realy want.A gud friend of mine works with acrylic for aliving.no not fishtanks does work on subs for the goverment an would love to help .What I need to know is can I get away with half inch on top an bottom. or do I need to use 1in all the way .The tank is going to be 8ftx32inx36high thank you all for your input. i say play it safe go with the 1 in.

Never had Acrylic tanks but the ones I have seen in those size ranges are always 1" and above.

You should PM Bbreef on here, He has an Acrylic tank near that size if not bigger. He would be able to give you more insight

my tank is 96x30x36...and is made of 1inch acrylic..the whole thing ...it was made by a well known company....tenecor....i would not go any smaller than that...

+1 Its always better to play it safe when your dealing with that much water!
