diy led moon lights

ok so for most of us we try to make our tanks the best with what little money we can borrow or hide. my new wavepoint light structure which i like very much had one major flaw NO moon light so i solved this with led Christmas lights and here's my build sorry for not having the best pics they were takin with my phone.

first step was gut the structure measure out equal distances between bulbs and drill threw the back of the reflectors

next was wiring them in i did this with a hot glue gun and a lot of patients

this is how they look threw the reflector

and finally the test run

i know there not the brightest but for 20 buck and about 2 hours of my time i think there pretty darn good :splitspin

wow, since LED moonlights aren't spectrum dependent that is a nice way to go. It obviously voids the manufacturers warranty, but if everything works fine it certainly looks good.

Thanks russ, everything works perfect, shouldnt have any issues as everything is still sealed just a it was from the factory
